Job Title: Hybrid Software Engineer
Location: San Antonio, TX. (75% Remote)
Clearance: Secret

The Job:
Our client is currently seeking a talented and experienced Senior Software Engineer to join our team. As a Senior Software Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing complex software capabilities for computer-based systems. You will work closely with other talented engineers to create software solutions that meet the needs of our clients..

The must-haves:
• Security Clearance – A current Secret Government Security Clearance is required; U.S. Citizenship required.
• Must be able to work a HYBRID schedule with 25% on site required at Lackland AFB.
• At least 5 years of experience in Software Engineering.
• Must have experience with Java and Python.
• Experience in designing enterprise APIs
• Experience in RESTful web services.
• Experience in Microservices architecture.
• Experience in Object Oriented Programming (OOP) paradigms.
• Experience with the agile software lifecycle.
• Experience with the Linux operating system.
• Experience with configuration management tools (e.g. Git, Nexus, Maven)
• DoD 8140 / 8570 IAT Level II compliance certification is required (i.e. Security+).

Desired Skills
• Experience in cloud based technologies (AWS, Azure).
• Experience in distributed databases, NoSQL databases, full text-search engines (e.g. Elasticsearch, MongoDB, Solr) 
• Scripting experience is a huge plus.
• Prior experience or familiarity with our Big Data Platform is a plus.
• Understanding of AGILE software development methodologies and use of standard software development tool suites. (e.g., JIRA, Confluence, Github Enterprise, etc.)

Job Title: Hybrid Data Engineer
Location: San Antonio, TX. (Hybrid)

The Job:
Our client is looking for a talented Data Engineer to support ingesting mission critical and mission support data sets into a big data environment. The preferred candidate will have a background in supporting cyber and/or network related missions within the military spaces, as either a developer, analyst or engineer.

The must-haves:
• Current active secret clearance.
• 9 years total relevant experience plus the following:
• BS in Engineering, Computer Science, or technical degree or industry experience equivalent. (+4 years relevant experience can substitute for a BS degree)
•Experience with Java.
•Experience with Unit and Integration testing.
•Fluency with data extraction, custom translation development, and loading including data prep and labeling to enable data analytics.
•Familiarity with various log formats such as JSON, XML, and others.
•Experience with data flow, management, and storage solutions. (i.e. Kafka, NiFi, and AWS S3 and SQS solutions)

Senior System Engineer

Job Title: Senior System Engineer (Propulsion)

Location: Breda, Netherlands

Salary: €75,000

The Job:

This is an exciting opportunity to join a high-tech global developer/manufacturer of satellite control sub-systems and propulsion systems. The Senior System Engineer plays a pivotal role in product development, ensuring that the design, analysis, testing, verification, and qualification processes adhere to customer specifications. As a key member of the Core Team, the System Engineer collaborates closely with the Program Manager, Product Owner, and Product Assurance Engineer. This team serves as the primary liaison with customers, major subcontractors, and production, with the System Engineer overseeing all technical aspects.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Review customer documentation and make informed design decisions.
  • Provide technical support for various analyses.
  • Maintain the project schedule and budget.
  • Conduct functional analysis and system design tasks.
  • Evaluate mechanical, structural, and electronic designs.
  • Create documentation for data packages for different reviews (EQSR, PDR, CDR, TRR, TRB), including User Manuals, Qualification Status lists, Compliance Matrices, Verification Control Documents, functional analyses, assembly and test procedures, and test reports.
  • Assist the supply chain and production departments with technical content.
  • Develop assembly/test procedures and coordinate with the test department.
  • Provide technical support to production and technical leads during test phases of the project.

The Must-Haves:

  • MSc degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of industrial experience as a System Engineer for chemical propulsion subsystems.
  • Proven understanding of fluid system design principles and operations.
  • Thorough knowledge of standard concepts, practices, and procedures in the field.
  • Basic knowledge of mechanical systems design, structural and thermal analysis, materials, and testing.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.

The Nice to Haves:

  • Familiarity with ECSS standards and the Space Design Process Flow (EQSR, PDR, CDR, MRR, TRR, TRB, DRB).
  • Understanding of current technology status and market trends related to spaceflight components.
  • Practical experience with testing at both component and system levels.
  • Intermediate proficiency in Dutch (B1 level).
  • Valid driving license and willingness to travel occasionally.

  • Approximately 4 years of experience in an office-based IT administration role.
  • Strong knowledge of Windows and Mac operating systems, Office 365, and Microsoft Office systems.
  • Proven experience with SQL Server administration and/or other ETL systems.
  • Experience with AWS cloud services.
  • Excellent communication skills, comfortable with face-to-face interactions, remaining calm when supporting colleagues through incidents, and effectively exchanging and understanding information, both verbally and in writing.
  • Staying current with advancements and best practices in IT administration.

  • Relevant professional qualifications, such as Microsoft or Oracle certifications.
