Job Title: Design and Analysis Engineer
Location: Roosendaal, Netherlands
Salary: €40,000 – €60,000
The Job:
This is an exciting opportunity to join a high-tech global developer/manufacturer of satellite control sub-systems and components. The Design and Analysis Engineer oversees the mechanical and thermal design aspects of products and systems. Collaborating closely with project core teams, they ensure product quality through design, manufacturing, and testing processes for customers. Specifically, the engineer initiates the mechanical design of products or systems for project core teams, considering mechanical and thermal design criteria and product manufacturability.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Assess requirements, particularly regarding the product’s operational environment.
- Develop 3D designs based on project specifications.
- Generate Bills of Materials (BOMs) and other pertinent project documents.
- Design and, if needed, test tooling and fixtures.
- Conduct thorough structural and thermal design analyses.
- Offer insights for design enhancements to meet requirements.
- Offer specialised guidance on mechanical and/or thermal design to the project core team.
- Lead failure analyses, root cause investigations, and design experiments to address engineering hurdles.
- Provide expert interpretation of environmental test outcomes.
- Establish documentation for test procedures and results analysis.
- Efficiently manage tasks to align with project schedules, quality standards, and budget constraints.
The Must-Haves:
- Hold an MSc degree in Mechanical Engineering or Aerospace Engineering.
- Possess at least 5 years of relevant experience in design and analysis.
- Expertise using CAD software, with a preference for Autodesk Inventor.
- Exhibit proficiency in FEA analysis tools, particularly FEMAP and ESATAN.
- Practical experience with structural and thermal testing, including analysis of results.
- Skilled in Microsoft Office applications such as Word, Excel, Visio, Teams, and Outlook.
The Nice to Haves:
- Experience in the space industry, ideally with some involvement in satellite supplies.
- Driving license and willingness to travel when required
