Job Title: Electronics Engineer Team Lead

Location: Vienna, Austria

Salary: €60,000 – €80,000

The Job:
This is an opportunity to join an Austrian-based space technology company established in 2016, swiftly emerging as a prominent force in the space industry. Renowned for its cutting-edge propulsion solutions tailored for SmallSats, the company has secured partnerships with numerous satellite platform integrators worldwide. The position is based onsite in Vienna with some flexibility for working from home 1 day per week.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Oversee, mentor, and guide the team in daily tasks, ensuring adherence to processes and work instructions
• Enhance resource efficiency, prioritize safety in the work environment, drive continuous improvements, and escalate issues when necessary
• Conduct annual check-ins with team members and manage budget allocations for the team
• Develop electronic circuits and PCBs, covering digital, analog, and high-voltage power electronics
• Establish and manage design configuration and documentation processes
• Validate designs through reliability, worst-case, and derating analyses
• Coordinate parts procurement and collaborate with external suppliers
• Troubleshoot failures, define corrective actions, and oversee their implementation

The Must-Haves:

• Hold a Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline
• Possess over 8 years of experience, preferably within safety-critical contexts such as Space or Aerospace industries
• Proficient in utilising tools like Spice, Altium Designer, and Atlassian suite (Confluence, Jira, Bitbucket)
• Experienced in developing comprehensive electronic units while considering mechanical and thermal limitations

The Nice to Haves:

• Familiarity with VHDL is advantageous
• Knowledgeable in microprocessor platforms such as ATmega and ARM
