As an AOCS/Mission Analysis Engineer, you will lead the engineering and development of the Attitude and Orbit Control System (AOCS) and/or satellite mission analysis. This is an exciting opportunity to apply your technical expertise to complex, high-impact space missions.
Your responsibilities will include:- Defining top-level engineering requirements and specifications for AOCS and mission analysis.
- Performing mission analysis to assess system performance and mission success.
- Designing the conceptual architecture of the AOCS to ensure optimal system operation and performance.
- Designing and verifying system operations with a focus on subsystem interactions and integration.
- Defining and specifying sensors and actuators, ensuring they meet mission requirements.
- Supporting the design, production, and testing of AOCS units and systems.
- Conducting simulations, analyses, and trade studies to evaluate system performance.
- Collaborating with software providers to ensure successful integration of AOCS software.
- Supporting AOCS commissioning and control system validation during system rollout.
- Managing technical budgets and ensuring cost-effective solutions without compromising on technical quality.
- Preparing and maintaining technical documentation for accurate records throughout the development process.
- Coordinating and participating in system and subsystem-level functional and performance testing.
- Master’s degree in Engineering, Aerospace, Mechatronics, Control Systems, or a related field.
- Proven experience in mission analysis and control/simulation, using tools such as MATLAB and Simulink.
- Strong knowledge of AOCS principles, satellite systems, and spacecraft subsystems.
- Experience in system design, integration, and testing, ideally in the aerospace industry.
- Experience with technical budgeting, managing project timelines, and delivering projects within scope and budget.
- Familiarity with satellite system operations and AOCS software integration.
- Previous experience in AOCS commissioning and control system validation.
