Job Title: Systems Engineer

Location: Cambridge

Salary: £40,000 – £70,000

The Job:

This is an exciting Systems Engineer opportunity at a Cambridge-based company (that is also a member of the SATLANTIS group), specialising in Thermal Imaging and Earth Observation. We’re looking for an accomplished Engineer capable of spearheading the design, production, and testing of complex and high-value space hardware, operating at both component and sub-system tiers, leveraging advanced integration abilities. You’ll play a pivotal role in research and development endeavours, offering technical proficiency, assistance, inventive resolutions, and guidance.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Defining subsystem requirements and specifications.
• Choosing appropriate components and materials.
• Providing engineering assistance for mission-specific and research and development endeavours.
• Offering specialised insight during project implementation phases.
• Conducting evaluations at the system level.
• Developing test plans and protocols.
• Supervising test data and outcomes.
• Managing technical and project documentation.

The Must-Haves:
The ideal candidate for this position will demonstrate outstanding communication skills, robust decision-making capabilities, expertise in information security, analytical acumen, proficiency with systems engineering software tools, leadership qualities, organisational aptitude, patience, and meticulous attention to detail.

• Bachelors and/or Masters degree in related field.
