We are looking for a skilled and driven Equipment Systems Engineer to join the team and contribute to the development of Docking and Berthing Systems (IBDM) for human spaceflight. In this role, you will support the engineering development over the entire project lifecycle. This is an exciting opportunity to apply your technical expertise to complex, high-impact space missions.
Your responsibilities will include:- Manage higher-level technical requirements and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders.
- Translate high-level technical requirements into design, development, and testing specifications for various subsystems/units.
- Maintain an overarching perspective to guide the design and development process, interacting with all technical disciplines (mechanical, thermal, electronic, software, etc.).
- Plan and execute system/subsystem-level functional and performance tests.
- Conduct initial system/subsystem-level assessments and analyses.
- Assist with managing the technical budget.
- Write technical reports and ensure coherence across project documentation.
- Master’s degree in Engineering or a related field.
- Knowledge of space mechanisms development (preferred).
- Experience writing technical reports.
- Willingness to travel.
- Previous experience working with docking and berthing systems is a plus.
- Familiarity with space system design and integration processes.
- Ability to work effectively in multi-disciplinary teams.
